- Ms. Nicholson has a strong civil litigation background and received her certificate as a Board Certified Civil Trial attorney in 1984.

- She was a partner with Lane, Mitchell and Harris, P.A., specializing in admiralty and maritime law, products liability, commercial litigation and general tort claims.

- Managing attorney for America International Group, with offices in Miami and Ft. Lauderdale.

- Since early 1989 Ms. Nicholson has been a full-time Mediator mediating over 5000 cases in South Florida and throughout the State, both within the court programs and as the selected mediator in voluntary mediation.

- As President and Mediation Director of Florida Mediation Group, Ms. Nicholson supervises and trains the mediators associated with the group. She is also active in the development of the various mediation programs offered through Florida Mediation Group.

- In addition to the 80 hours of basic Mediation Certification training for Civil Circuit and Family Mediation, Ms. Nicholson has completed over 75 hours of advanced mediation training.
